#236 The Cost of Exercising Freedom in America w/ Chris & Cynthia Price Part 2

”We saw him with our very own eyes. We gazed upon him and heard him speak. Our hands actually touched him, the one who was from the beginning, the Living Expression of God. This Life-Giver was made visible and we have seen him. We testify to this truth: the eternal Life-Giver lived face-to-face with the Father and has now dawned upon us. So we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard about this Life-Giver so that we may share and enjoy this life together. For truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus, the Anointed One. We are writing these things to you because we want to release to you our fullness of joy.“

What John is sharing here is the spirit behind true evangelism. It is all driven by love. We tell people about Jesus and how He has changed our lives, what He has done in our lives and the difference He has made in us, because we want to share with them and offer them the fullness of the joy that He has imparted into us. True evangelism is not borne out of some belief that everyone should be in the same religion as me. It’s not out of religious duty. True evangelism is an outpouring of love that reaches out to others because we want them to experience the fullness of the joy that Jesus has given to us. We want them to want what we have and who we have -- King Jesus -- and we want them to desire Him and His full joy, because we love them.
