#208 Forging Paths for Financial Freedom w/ Eric Peterson

”But make Jesus, the Anointed One, your focus in life and ministry. For he came to earth as the descendant of David and rose from the dead, according to the revelation of the gospel that God has given me. This is the reason I am persecuted and imprisoned by evildoers, enduring the suffering of these chains—but the Word of God can never be chained!“

I love that this scripture says that the Word of God can never be chained. We know that John the Beloved wrote, that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that  has come into being. In light of that, it’s clear that the Word cannot be chained? In Ephesians it says that the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. That doesn’t sound like something that is able to be chained. How empowered and encouraged and bold should we be as Believers in Christ? He is the Word of God, and His Word has power and authority and it cannot be contained -- no matter what evil men and women do to shut up the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, it will not be chained. Today let’s be prayerful for those Christians who are in chains for the Gospel around the world. They are imprisoned for speaking the truth. But what their jailers do not understand is this -- the Word of God can never be chained.
